I originally started a website for my own small business back in 2001, and spent several long nights learning about search engine optimization and writing code. The website was very successful and generated $513,000.00 in sales in our second year of business, with no other form of advertising whatsoever. I finally sold my business in 2006, and was ready to do something different after 17 years of turning wrenches.

I have been a volunteer editor for the DMOZ Open Directory Project since 2004, and have seen a lot of websites over the years. That, coupled with my past success of my own website, and my passion for graphic design in my personal life, led me to a new profession. So in 2006, I decided it was time to start a new career path in website design.

I've built over 50 custom web designs in the past 3 years, and most of them have been on the Joomla CMS platform. I am currently on the Sobi2 development team, which allows me to give back to the open source software community I love so much.

Every one of my sites are hand coded to w3c standards in XHTML and CSS. Unlike a lot of web designers, I place a huge emphasis on usability, content and SEO in my designs.

On a personal note, I have a beautiful family, with 2 new little one's in my life that help to keep me young at the ripe old age of 40. Thus my title, 'Chief Bottle Washer' is appropriate, and I change diapers too!
