Whether you're starting a new website or trying to improve usability on your existing site, having a proper sitemap can help visitors find all of the pages of your site quickly and easily.
In addition, Google Webmaster Tools along with an XML sitemap can get your website indexed properly on Google, as well as help you find problems with your site you didn't even know you had.
If you own a Joomla 1.5 website, your in luck, because there's a component out there that will tackle both tasks for you very easily, and it updates both sitemaps every time you add something new to your website.
One of the first components I install on my own Joomla websites is the Xmap Sitemap Component for Joomla 1.5. This little jewel, with it's added plugins will produce not only an HTML sitemap for visitors to find the pages of your website, but it also generates an XML sitemap that's Google Webmaster Tools friendly.
If this is something beyond your current webmaster skills, contact Roberts Web Design about getting your site set up with this great component. To see a live example in action, checkout the sitemap here on Roberts Web Design.
