Volunteering our time and resources to improve the Joomla project is very important to our team in order to support open source software and strengthen the community surrounding Joomla. Roberts Web Design participates in the Joomla Bug Squad Pizza, Bugs and Fun events, which tests and provides quality assurance for Joomla when new versions are released.
Joomla Volunteer Efforts
Robert was the 2014 Co-Admin for the Joomla Google Summer of Code (GSoC) program that mentors students through open source software development using Joomla. Sebastian was also a Mentor for the 2014 Joomla GSoC students.
Robert and Sebastian both write articles for various Joomla websites, including the Joomla Community Magazine where Robert was the original Website Case Studies Editor for a year, in addition to helping organize and launch the Joomla Community Magazine in 2010. Robert still writes for the magazine from time to time, while Sebastian helps out with the Polish Joomla Magazine as well with technical articles and translations from English to Polish.
Robert served as the Host and spokesperson for All Together as a Whole, the non-profit Joomla Developers Network from 2010 through 2011. This is where he started the JoomStew Radio podcast in 2010. Robert still continues as the voice of Joomstew today which discusses current topics in the Joomla community.

The Joomla Community Magazine won Community Website of the Year at the J and Beyond 2011 event in Kerkrade, The Netherlands. Robert Vining was the Website Case Studies Editor for the Joomla Community Magazine from April of 2010 to June of 2011.

The Joomla Community Magazine won the Joomla! Innovation of the Year Award at the J and Beyond 2011 event in Kerkrade, The Netherlands. Robert Vining was the Website Case Studies Editor for the Joomla! Community Magazine from April of 2010 to June of 2011. He also participated in the original magazine team on All Together As A Whole which created the Joomla! Community Magazine.
