What is Included with a Basic Joomla Migration?
Facing a Joomla migration can be difficult for site owners if you don't have experience with hosting accounts, databases and managing template and extension installations and updates.
The easiest way to migrate from Joomla 2.5 to Joomla 3 is to take a full site inventory to see exactly what needs to be done to migrate successfully. This process usually takes about 2 hours, and we provide a full written report of extensions currently installed and review those with you before making the upgrade to Joomla 3.
Once we have a plan of attack, we can back up your current website, create a development site on our own servers, and migrate your site from Joomla 2.5 to Joomla 3. We would modify your current template to work with Joomla 3 and upgrade all extensions to Joomla 3 compatible versions. Once the migration is complete and tested, we then restore the newly migrated website back to your hosting account and the new site is ready to go live.
The entire process takes about 10 hours to complete. As we said above, we're offering a 20% discount off our normal hourly rate of $75, so you can expect a basic Joomla 2.5 to Joomla 3 migration to run $600.
What About Additional Cost?
The only thing not included in the price above is template or extension customization or 3rd Party subscriptions you already use on your site. We prefer you to register for your own subscriptions for paid extensions and templates.
If we need to modify or customize any templates or extensions you have installed, we would discuss these additional costs up front during the initial inventory and review phase of the project.
